Apple is launching Apple Intelligence features in China through an iOS 27.3 beta beginning November 4th, with a full release scheduled for December. The company announced the rollout on its Chinese newsroom website.

The initial China launch will not include the new AI-powered Siri. Instead, Apple will offer notification summaries, real-time translation, rewriting and proofreading tools, visual intelligence, and object removal from photos. Apple has partnered with Alibaba to integrate its Qwen chatbot into some experiences, similar to how iOS integrated OpenAI's ChatGPT in 2024.

Apple Intelligence was approved in China in July. Reuters reported in August that Apple trained its own large language model specifically for the Chinese market.
