Meta launched Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that builds outfit suggestions from clothes users already own. The app connects to Instagram to populate a virtual closet from posted photos, or users can manually add items by photo, video, or upload. Style Sketch then generates outfit combinations and lets users try them on a "realistic model matched to your body shape and skin tone," according to the app description.
The app is currently available in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand on iOS and Android. Social media consultant Matt Navarra first spotted the launch. Meta did not respond to requests for comment on wider expansion plans.
Style Sketch can help users select specific wardrobe items and receive fresh outfit ideas built around them. The app also plans trips by generating day-by-day outfit recommendations based on destination, trip length, planned activities, and weather forecasts.
Competitors already offer similar AI wardrobe tools, including startup Alta and Google Photos. Meta's advantage lies in integration with Instagram, where users maintain a visual record of their personal style.
Style Sketch is one of several AI apps Meta released recently, including Waddle World, a Tamagotchi-like game, Pocket for vibe-coding games, and Vibes for AI-generated videos. CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees earlier this year that the company plans to release far more apps than historically, as AI-driven efficiencies have accelerated development and shipping timelines.
